I am a huge fan of the midi skirt for many reasons. It’s a great length for the cooler months, they are easy to wear; you don’t have to worry about bending because they cover most of your leg, and they are still super sexy if you wear them with a slight heel
I found the midi-skirt of my dreams this summer while shopping in New York, and would wear it every day if I had my way.
How to Style
Fuller midi-skirts look best with crop tops to keep your shape, but sometimes if you tuck the shirt just right you can make it work; however, I would almost always opt for a cropped jacket with any high-waisted midi-skirt to define your waist. As for shoes a slight heel, whether bootie or not, will always make the legs look just the right amount of sexy in your midi skirt, flat shoes if not done right can make you look short and stumpy.

The easiest way to add layers to outfit is by putting a white button-up preferably sleeveless. Then throw on a slightly oversized sweater or top, and a jacket. I chose a leather jacket to give the look a cool girl vibe.
To make your layers noticeable wear different lengths. Like a slightly cropped jacket with a long button-up sticking out the bottom of your shirt, & don’t forget the necklace if your shirt is solid.

Hey fashion people,
Burrr. It’s getting chilly out. But I am excited to start wearing the heap of sweaters piled in my closet again. Aren’t you? The outfit for today actually started with the shoes. I bought them (kind of) spur of the moment in New York a little over a week ago. I’ve wanted a pair of docs for the longest time, but never could commit to shelling out over $100 for them. In New York though it seemed every store we walked into had them, sitting them, calling my name, and with every store I wanted them more.. and more… and more…. and more until I broke down and bought them. I’m very happy with them, though, and think they were completely worth my entire paycheck for this week :).
The outfit. Started with the boots then I searched through my skirts because I wanted to pair the boots with something of the complete opposite style. I kept the color in the boots (aren’t they a beautiful red for fall?) and slipped my black fuzzy sweater over my head to keep warm.
Sweater: Thirfted $3

Docs: New York City $140
